I'm a fellow introvert, and if you're serious about working on public speaking, you could always give Toastmasters a try. There is even one specifically for non-profit/service types of people. I went a few times but it was a little more of a stretch than I was ready for...but seems like a great place to practice and learn the principles. Rosetta – love the blog.
