I’m Cheating on my Blog With Twitter

I blame Twitter for my infrequent blogging over the past few weeks.  It’s the latest social networking platform that thousands of people, including many nonprofit folks, have adopted to keep up with each other’s personal & professional lives. We share links to interesting articles about social change, celebrate each other’s successes, commisserate over failures, and seek to inspire each other through quotes, music and stories…all in 140 characters or less. I tend to tweet at least a dozen times a day with relevant nonprofit news, links, quotes to inform and inspire my followers. Think: the same kind of content this blog except in soundbites. I’ve only been on Twitter for a few months, but so far it’s become an incredible community of authentic people who give a damn about helping each other.

I know! Twitter is addicting, but I’ve learned a lot from it and actually have a lot of fun. I get a lot of ideas for full blog posts for one of my other blogs, but seldom actually form them into a post — which is a shame… I’d have so many more posts!
