Excellent piece, Rosetta. Virginia's comments are spot on. Until we recognize the strategic advantages of investing in staff development, our impact as a sector will be negatively affected. I think the sector would benefit significantly from more mergers where programs are duplicative. In such cases, assets could be leveraged and conceivably costs could be streamlined.

Hi Rosetta! You have tons of interesting and informative articles here. But what about the accounting aspect of a non profit organization? We can use software to monitor and store our data, but when is the time to hand over such task to someone else? When is the right time to hire an accountant so you can now focus yourself on other aspects like project developments?
