Here is an awesome example of how to promote next generation nonprofit leadership. Older nonprofit leaders have a ton of leadership awards and even a Top 50 list of the most influential among them. But now – now, we can nominate our own superstars. If you are a member of your local Young Nonprofit Professionals Network chapter, I urge you to consider organizing one of these events in your community as well!
YNPN Leadership Awards
Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Greater Grand Rapids (YNPN-GGR) presents the YNPN Leadership Awards. Join us as we recognize and celebrate young nonprofit professionals who have made outstanding contributions to local nonprofit organizations through exemplary leadership, innovation and community involvement.
Nominations
Individuals and organizations may be nominated for consideration by other members of the nonprofit community or may submit an application on their own behalf if supplemented by a letter of support. Please include the application form along with the nomination. Nominees may be nominated for more than one award. Each award nomination must be done on a separate form. Applications may include no more than two letters of support and two pieces of support material.
YNPN-GGR will gather all nominations. Once collected, they will be turned over to Award Committee for review composed of community members in the non profit community. The top three nominations in each category will be notified and asked to attend the award ceremony where the winner will be announced.
DEADLINE: All nominations are due to the YNPN-GGR board prior to August 14, 2009.

Thanks for sharing our nominations!! Our board in Grand Rapids is fabulous and they come up with this great idea.
I live in the Greater Grand Rapids area, and it is truly wonderful to see my city offer opportunities like this. Thank you!
