"Please, somebody correct me if I’m wrong. That is just a little over 10%."
Okay. I'll correct you. Eight out of 50 is 16 percent, which is closer to 20 percent than it is to 10 percent. So you might as well have said, "That is almost 20 percent."

I want to answer Paul's initial question: Who choses these people? Their all-white Boards, that's who. Yes, we can use our power and influence; relationships; quiet and public conversations. But the truth of the matter is, if you wait until the CEO search has begun - you've waited too long. You need to diversify the hands that hold the power - e.g. the Board of Trustees. We have all sorts of excuses as to why Boards are not diverse - primarily money. We associate these choices with sustainability, and claim to give equal power to "advisory boards" and "community boards" - which tend to be diverse, in more ways than one.<br>Thanks for sharing
