I Have a Talk Show

Last year, I launched Perspectives from the Pipeline on BlogTalkRadio, a live internet radio show highlighting the issues I focus on with this blog. I did seven shows total from March-May 2008, and over 2,000 people have listened to downloads of the shows since then. Former guests included Robert Egger of DC Central Kitchen and V3 Campaign, Trista Harris of Headwaters Foundation for Justice and tristaharris.org, Elisa Ortiz of Onward & Upward & formerly at NCNA. We talked about racial diversity in the nonprofit sector, Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy, nonprofit salaries, and so much more. We had a blast doing it. So…

…inspired by the antics of Elon James and his afternoon podcast crew (I know, totally different subject matter, but funny as hell), I’m ready to try this again! Each week – starting Wednesday, October 14 from 12-1pm EST –  I invite you to join me on your lunch break as we discuss current nonprofit events, highlight new initiatives, and promote the voices of young people and leaders of color working for social change. For my first show in over a year, I’ll be talking about Nonprofit Career Month, the Nonprofit Workforce Coalition and the future of the nonprofit sector. I’ll also be highlighting the work of some awesome Generation Y nonprofit bloggers. I’ll also be featuring several guests you probably know and love, including Meg Busse from Idealist.org and Stephen Bauer of American Humanics and the Nonprofit Workforce Coalition.  You can both listen in and call in – this is a LIVE show! And it’s going to be AWESOME.

Callers may dial in anytime during the show to join the live discussion using the phone number 646-200-3352 (no passcode needed). The show will be live streaming on Wednesday, October 14 from 12-1pm EST and there will also be a live chat component. If you can’t listen in on Wednesday, you will be able to listen to it afterwards online or on your iPod. The show is also available on iTunes.
