Every person has capacity, abilities and gifts. The creation of a healthy, inclusive community depends on the fullness of everyone’s capacities to be used, abilities expressed and gifts given. When people are denied the ability to share the wholeness of who they are, our communities suffer.
Since 2007, the Emerging ChangeMakers Network has been helping civic-minded people between the ages of 25 to 40 to tap into their full capacity by showing them how to lend their time, talent and resources toward the betterment of communities in the Deep South.
The Emerging ChangeMakers Network is now accepting applications for its 2010 Leadership Class from people that:
Will be a leader in their community
Is willing to think differently about the problems facing their communities
Wants to give their time, talent and resources to combat social injustice
Has a vision, idea or passion that will strengthen communities that have been historically disenfranchised due to race, class, gender, orientation, nationality and/or immigration status.
Understands that likeminded people need to connect strategically
Believes that communities know how to make changes that honor their traditions and cultures but they need to be supported with the resources to fulfill their vision.
Members of the 2010 Leadership class will receive trainings, networking, exposure and support toward the ideas they have that will enhance their communities.
