Jessica Norwood is a social entrepreneur who champions organizations, people, ideas and products that develop the capacity to create change in traditionally marginalized communities. With a passion for supporting community asset development, Jessica works with people to connect them to national, state, and local institutions in order to mobilize their efforts and strengthen their community’s power.
Norwood began her advocacy work as a senior manager in varied political organizations. Working in battleground states, Norwood fused non-traditional education methods with innovative takes on the traditional political system. Popularized in the Washington Post, CNN, and many other media outlets, Norwood’s political experience makes her an expert in strategy and advocacy campaigns.
As a socially-conscience business owner, Jessica is a clean water advocate and operates a bottled water company with offices in Alabama, Georgia and Texas . She is also the Principle of Norwood and Associates, LLC, a consulting firm that works with organizations, businesses and people who want to use their talents and time to create a just and sustainable world. In 2007, Jessica founded the Emerging ChangeMakers Network, a not-for profit entity that connects emerging leaders who believe in a core set of values and principles that lead them to create actions of compassion, equality and justice on behalf of their communities.
