Igniting a Nonprofit Revolution at the Texas Nonprofit Summit

Texas Nonprofit Summit

I’ll be speaking at the Texas Nonprofit Summit tomorrow in Austin. Much love to Greenlights for Nonprofit Success for the invite! I’m really excited not only because it’s gonna be a cool conference, but because the last time I was in Austin, I had the best enchiladas de mole at Manuels. Those of you who know me on Twitter know that I’m a HUGE foodie and I figure out whether I like a place or not based on their restaurants. So, I already know I’m gonna love my time in Austin and I can’t wait to meet up with some of the folks from YNPN Austin for some awesome Tex-Mex!

My Breakout Session

I’m presenting one of 24 breakout sessions:

New Leaders for a New Nonprofit Sector: How We Get There from Here

“The significant problems we have cannot be solved at the same level of thinking with which we created them.” – Albert Einstein

Given the economic, political, and social backdrop of the current nonprofit landscape, Rosetta Thurman believes that it’s time for a new brand of leadership to emerge – one that is laser-focused on making people, organizations and communities stronger going into the next decade. Rosetta will inform attendees about the four kinds of leaders we need now in order to effect social change. Her personal story and professional commentary will engage and inspire current leaders to become 1) true believers, 2) ruthless innovators, 3) ambassadors of diversity and 4) courageous advocates in their work.

Folks at home can also participate in the nonprofit conversation on Twitter using hashtag #TXNS. You know I’ll do my best to tweet some of the goodies for you :)
