This Week in Honolulu: Second Annual Conference of Nonprofit Communities of Hawaii

Aloha! Once again, I’m writing you from the airport – this time, en route to Hawaii where Trista and I will be speaking at the second annual Conference of Nonprofit Communities of Hawai`i November 29-30. I’m beyond excited to return to Oahu and meet more of the island’s amazing nonprofit leaders pushing for social change in the state!

As a lead up to the conference, I’ve had the opportunity to be interviewed on Hawaii Public Radio and submit an opinion piece for Civil Beat, and in the process learning and sharing about what’s happening in Hawaii’s nonprofit sector. Like communities around the country, the state is experiencing shortfalls and nonprofit leaders there are striving to figure out how to best move forward given this new landscape. To give you an idea of how comprehensive this conference is going to be, I also want to share a bit from the press release. I hope I get the chance to meet Pierre!
